Almost August ...

Hi everyone !
Time is surely flying by - and I am rushing it by focusing on Christmas & Hallowe'en ! This is the time of the year when all of that product needs to be ordered and there is plenty to choose from ! I will try in the next week to give you some peeks at what will be coming in so you can get ready for it. Feel free to let me know if there is anything you would like set aside for you as well. I already have a fairly long list !
But for now, let's deal with what is here this week !
PAPER :
I have been putting out new things all last week whenever I had a chance so there are new stamps, inks, sprays, stamp blocks, tags, embossing folders, etc ...
Here is a new line of paper that I just put in the racks - really pretty !!

"So Happy" by Echo Park. Look at that cute bird paper ! And those journaling tags would make a whole bunch of quick cards ...
And there is lots more to see !

This has been a busy busy bead week ! I have spent the last 3 days unpacking a big box ( and still have more to go !) . Here's an idea of what's new ...

This Week's News ...

Hi everyone !
As usual, I am rushing ... I have a 40lb box of beads arriving this afternoon so I need to get these other things done so I can dive in !! Be prepared though, it will be next week before it gets fully unpacked & put out - it is a slow process !! (Here's a little update ... It's not arriving until almost 5 and it is too darn hot to come back tonight so it will be next week before we discover what's in the next box !!)
But there is lots of new product to talk about anyway ! Let's go !!
BEADS :
I had a lovely box arrive right from China on Tuesday and I am thrilled with the products. Here is a quick look ... I have the beads all out in the trays but will be packaging up bulk bags that will be even more economical . Look for those next week. in the meantime, the individual beads are available ... and featured in this week's kit !!

These are some really fun little acrylic beads... flowers & leaves.

They range in price from 5 cents to 25 cents and are used in this week's kit.

I will be doing them up in bulk bags for next week, as well.

They come in various colours or plain - you add the colour !! Alcohol ink works really well ... I will have samples next week.

Watch for a fun summer bracelet next week too !!

PAPER :

The first Christmas paper of the season has arrived !! Authentique's "Festive" is here ! Lovely heavy paper, very vintage ... really nice ! Classic. There are also matching elements and 6x6 mini decks. Time to start your projects !!

                                                           

Stamps : new stamps from Stampendous, Inky Antics, and Stampers Anonymous (Tim Holtz & Wendi Vecchi). Some of the stamps are old favourites for Christmas but I re-ordered them because they were on sale - and who doesn't like a good deal ?!

KITS OF THE WEEK :

Jewelry kit of the Week ...
This is a very vintage style earring - and so pretty ! They are quite small & very dainty. The picture makes them look bigger as it is a really close up !! You will get all the supplies + a photo + instructions for $3.25.

Quick kit update !

Hi everyone !
I thought I would quickly post this week's kit as they are very limited in number and I wanted the blog readers to have the same chance to get a kit as the Facebookers have. ;)
The theme of this week's kit is diecuts. I love when a company puts out a sheet of diecuts (especially 2 sided) with a paper collection. I see INSTANT CARDS !! This week I took a sheet of diecuts from Teresa Collins, flipped it over, and stamped on the backs of the diecuts. The backs are all patterned but don't have the printed sentiments - perfect for adding my own. The kit includes all the supplies to make FOUR cards and you will still have some tags left over. It is $6.50.
(If you miss out this time, I have ordered more of the diecut sheets, and will make more kits at a later date.)

On the Run ... !

Hi everyone !
This is a super quick post ... I need to get unpacking boxes !! This has been a busy week ( 2000 chicks yesterday in that awful heat ... ugh and now 4 boxes to unpack ...yay.) So I am trying to squeeze as much in as I can !
Here's a quick update !
PAPER ...
Don't know ! I haven't opened the boxes yet ! LOL !
I do know that the new Tim Holtz Distress Ink for Summer is in. "Picked Raspberry", "Mowed Lawn", and "Salty Ocean" are the new colours. Limited supply !!

BEADS :
Same thing ... still unpacking and waiting for another couple parcels!

KITS OF THE WEEK !
Paper ... this week`s kit is "Little Books". I love these little notebooks - perfect for in a purse or school bag, beside the computer or the bed, grocery lists or notes of any kind ... love them !! You will get 3 little books, precut papers, 4 stamped labels, ribbon, and a diecut. All for $5. Perfect for a wee gift or to keep ! And I have to say, the one stamped "Websites & Blogs" is genius ! I had loads of great sights bookmarked last year when *POOF* , they were gone when my computer crashed. It's a great idea to jot them down as you bookmark them ! Same with all those darn passwords. Can anyone seriously remember them all ?!

Abalone Earrings ... very simple earrings but really pretty. These are perfect for summer and are very light. You get all the materials for $2.50 !

So ... I could chat more but then I won't get anything new unpacked ... let's take a vote ... "Unpack" was a clear winner !! Okay, I'm off to unpack . Come see what's new !!

Simple Stories Handmade Holidays

Hello !

Hi everyone !
Hope you all had a great long weekend ! My husband & I had TWO days off in a row (Sunday & Monday) - hardly ever happens- and it was wonderful !! I even promised myself I wouldn't work - 'cause I usually do. And I didn't. Anyway, I enjoyed it so much, I want more !! LOL !!
But it's back to work now & that's okay ! there's lots of new things to share.

KITS :
* Card kit of the Week : Let's call it "Three Shades of Black ... " !
All these cards are built on a black card base but they are all very different. One card uses SEI and Simple Stories paper, one uses Graphic 45 & bookpaper , and one uses Amy Tangerine paper. The stamps are all by Paper Tray Ink and are used under their angel policy. You get the pre-cut, pre-stamped pieces to assemble for all 3 cards for $5.

I also still have card kits from last week.

* Jewelry ... a rainbow!!! I love how the crystals make such lovely rainbows (child of the 70s ...) and I had these wonderful Kati-Dids that seemed to call out for something fun. So I added crystals to them and made a pendant. You could add any variety of colours ... all one colour, a few, or a virtual rainbow ! I added a create charm at the bottom but you could add anything - a bird, a heart, any word ... My pendant has a total cost of $3.92. You could do one in blues & greens and add a seashell charm - or in team colours and add a sports charm, ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES !!
