Card Kit, Grab Bags and more !

Hi there !!
I will be open tomorrow Friday Nov 18th from 10am to 4pm. And if you look up at the calendar at the top of this page, you'll see that I will be open every Friday in December leading up to Christmas.
This week I have new dies & stamps, more Christmas patterned paper, and packs of cardstock (8.5x11 and 12x12) in holiday colours. Stock up !!
I also have a card kit. It was one that I put together last year but it was too late in the season so here it is ! Just $6 for the materials to make all 3 cards.

And BEAD GRAB BAGS  ... I did up bags of beads & supplies and will have them ready for all you beaders looking for a bargain !! The bags are just $5 and contain approximately $15 (or more) of product. Wow !! If you can't get in and want to order some, just send me an email . I can't pick out specific bags but I can try to get the colours you want. :)

Okay ... I am off to start unpacking the 3 big boxes of beading supplies that arrived this morning and to put out more Christmas paper.
Hope to see you Friday !!

Stickers + paper + 45 minutes = 8 cards !! Oh, and a card kit.

Hi there !
I decided to see how many cards I could make with these cute Easter stickers. Now, to be honest, I didn't want to spend a lot of time or use a lot of materials ... I wanted something quick and fun ! So I got to work and it made me feel like I was a kid again playing with a sticker book, lol !!
So here are the stickers ...

And here's what I came up with ...

The stickers are just $2.39. Sold separately .

I will be making up packages of precut supplies if anyone is interested ( by request). The package won't be a kit but it will contain the precut/scored card bases, precut patterned papers & cardstock, twine, and some Happy Easter sentiment stickers so you can make very similar cards. No instructions but the photos will be here to use as inspiration or reference.

OR ... I will have the new Easter papers that I used for sale and you can buy a few sheets and make your own versions !

Here are close ups ... in case you want to make some.

Look at that cute little chick paper !!

These two are harvesting carrots for Easter dinner.

This little guy just flew in ...

Frolicking in a field of jelly beans ...

This was like "Build-a-Scene".

For this one, I just put the stickers right on the card front .
I scratched around and found a spring stamp .

Stacks of Easter eggs ...

And this guy just makes me smile. :)

And here is this Week's Card Kit ... all the cards this week have some sort of sparkle ! Gold paper, gold threads, sequins, metallic trim ... sparkle, sparkle ! And one of the cards is even a SIMPLE SHAKER CARD !!

You get all the materials , ready to assemble , for all three cards for just $6.

These are the diecuts for the shaker card. Please note that the diecuts vary from kit to kit.

So, that's it for today !! I'll be back later this week with a What's New post  ... stay tuned.

REMINDER ... there are just 2 weeks left to get your cards in for the Card Swap . March 4th is the last day. Thanks.

Weekly Card Kit & Sale.

Hello !
I have a card kit this week as well as the weekly sale.
Back tomorrow with new items.
This week's kit is Sympathy Cards. No one wants to use them but sadly, we usually do need one once in a while. And it is much easier to make them ahead and have them on hand ... and if you never have to use them, that's great !
Because they are sympathy cards, I have made them very simple. I don't think this the time for glitter & loads of embellishment. The kit makes 3 cards and contains everything you need + directions with a photo for $6.

And if you like the paper ... I still have some that I will be putting out for purchase.
That floral is lovely !

And now for the SALE !! I have held over some of the sales from last week because of the weather .. and added more !
As usual ... discount is on regular prices, does not include layways or special orders, no holds, all sales final.

OMBRE Ink by Hero Arts ... 40% off !!

Hemp - 40% off

PUNCHES - 40% off !!

These Distress Paints & assorted sprays are now 50% off !!

These beautiful paper decorations are 25% off.

Just one of the sets ... lots of colours to choose from !!

Great clear out price on these markers !!

So there you go ... a card kit & a sale !
I am open this Friday 10am to 5pm and this Saturday from 10am to noon.
I'll be stopping at the post office tomorrow to pick up an order so I should have another post this week with some new things !!

Card kit ... Butterflies Galore !

Here is this week's card kit ... it is all about butterflies this week ! Butterfly papers, canvas resist butterflies, kraft butterflies, gold butterflies ... that's the theme !

You will get all the materials + instructions to make all 3 cards for just $6. All you need is adhesive, and in this case, ink. The canvas resist butterflies are uncoloured and you get to add whatever colour you wish, making the resist pattern appear as you add the colour. The kit includes the card bases (precut, scored, and folded), precut papers, sentiment stickers in black and gold, ribbon, gold twine, journal cards, tag, foil butterfly, resist butterflies, and the kraft butterflies.

*To colour my butterflies I used a few different methods ...

If you look carefully, you can see a faint pattern on the butterflies - that's the resist !
The ink will not soak in to those areas.

I used Distress ink and a sponge applicator to do the two pieces shown here.
For the butterflies on the card, I used Dylusions Spray Ink.
Either ink pad or spray works well .

First up are Color Bursts. Here's a quick video to show you one use. You can also apply them dry over a stencil or on paper and then add water. Or mist water over a page and tap the powders on to create amazing watercolour look backgrounds. There are plenty of videos on YouTube if you search Ken Oliver (the creator) or Color Bursts. If you want to reserve any, email me & we can set it up. Thanks !
