Hello !
Well, here it is the end of August ! That's exciting - time to sit down and plan out some workshops, make-it projects, Christmas & Hallowe'en projects ... oh so many ideas !! But first , let me share the new products I unpacked this week. I have new stamps & dies from Taylored Expressions, dies from Tonic, stamps& die sets from Hero Arts, and a few other items. Here is a small sampling ...

And here are a few more ... these stamp sets from Hero Arts come with the main word of the sentiment in a large stamp and a matching die to cut it out and then all the add on sentiments in stamp form. These sets will be very useful !!

Fridays' Drop In Make-It Project

Hi everyone !
Sorry for the delay in posting this . Sometimes real life just gets in the way. But here it is finally !!
This will be the card we make. Drop in any time on Friday from 10am to 11:30am. You will apply that wonderful new foil just using adhesive, use an embossing folder, and also use the MINC (yes you will !!) to foil your own butterfly. Choice of foil colours.  Just $3.

And don't forget that Saturday you will have one last chance to make a simple wire wrapped necklace or earrings. Or both, if you choose. Just $6 each including tax. That will include the form, the wire, the Swarovski crystals (choice of colours) , and the chain for the necklaces... yes EVERYTHING !! And for the earrings you will get 2 forms, wire, 2 lead free, nickel free hooks, and an assortment of seedbeads (again, choice of colours) . ALL of that plus direction & assistance for just $6.

The MINC Machine and Foiling !

Hello !

This week I have experimented with the Minc Machine and the foils. And it is fabulous. BUT, you don't need the machine to use the foils - there are plenty of ways to apply the foil with regular craft room supplies, no machine necessary. So join me Friday morning from 10 to 12 and again Saturday also from 10 to 12 , for demos, tips, and samples. The machine is fabulous and there are some alternate machines you can use. But the foil can be used so many ways on its own. It is a wonderful product. I'll even have some little tags that you can foil just so you can see how easy it is and how spectacular the results are !! Hope to see you then.

There are various products that come ready to be "minc-ed" but you can also print them on a laser printer or a toner photocopier. Here's one I printed on my printer.

Add foil and place in the carrier sheet .

Run it through the Minc ...

And VOILA !!
Beautifully foiled.

I made a bunch of samples with the Minc using the ready-to-foil products and those that I made myself. I experimented too. ;)

And them I made some tags using no Minc machine. For some I used a heat gun but for most I used a variety of adhesives, and just the adhesives. So, as you can see, there are many ways to use the foil.

Some Exciting New dies !! And more ...

I have been experimenting with some new dies today and they are AHHHH-mazing !! With one simple pass through the die cutting machine with just one die , you get an assortment of various sizes of the same shape. I am filled with ideas.
Here are some of the samples I cut out and  the die's packaging. ...

Now, they also offer circles, diamonds, and squares. So I cut them all out !
And then I cut them out of different colours and mixed them up. So many possibilities ...

August ...

Hello !
Here's a schedule for August. There are more shopping days, some demo days and more Make-It Projects as well as a TBA (still working on that ...) .

So here are some samples of the necklace or earrings that we are making on Friday the 14th and Saturday the 29th ...

The necklace includes Swarovski crystals - you choose your colours - and the earrings use a mix of smaller beads . Again, you choose your colours. The earwires are lead free/nickel free.  The cost for each project is just $6 including tax so you could even make several for Christmas gifts ! 

Drop in between 10am and 11:30 on the dates listed to do this project. 

(Any changes will be an extra charge ... i.e different chains or earwires.) 

The next project is a Prima tag . 

If you like paper dolls, you'll love these !! A little stamping, some colouring and cutting, choosing various cute papers, adding doilies, ribbon and trims ... all such fun ! You will get a second tag so you can join them at the top and make a card out of it. Several different girls to choose from and lots of fun materials. Just $5 including tax. This will be Saturday August 15th any time between 10am and 11:30 am. 

And then join me on Friday the 21 and Saturday the 22 from 10am to noon to learn about the MINC. 

This is a wonderful foiling machine from Heidi Swapp along with a complete line of foils and products. There will also be a Mini Minc arriving soon and I'll have special pre-order prices that weekend for them. BUT, you can use the foil without the MINC and there are several ways to do that. I'll show you how and share some tips. Foil makes everything just a bit more special. 

And then I still have space on Friday the 28th for another Make-It Project. I'm running out of time today so I'll think about that and post it next week .

Saturdays & New Stamps & Dies !

Hello on this hot sticky day !
Well, first things first ... I will be open each and every Saturday this month from 10am to noon. Come on in !!
I will be having more Make-It projects this month as well as demo days and maybe a full fledged workshop. Working on the samples this week and I hope to be posting early next week !
And I have a bunch of great new dies & stamps from My Favourite Things as well as  Lawn Fawn. Here's a little card & some tags I made with my favourite new LF stamp & die set "Sweet Smiles"
