Day 12 !
Last day ... Day 12 !
Here's what you need ... tins, deer heads from Tim Holtz, glitter and (not shown) paper, ribbon, diecuts, and faux garland trim.
Simply trace the tin , cut out a paper circle, and then glue it into the tin.
Glue a length of faux garland around the inner edge of the tin.
Now coat the deer head or even just the antlers with glue and add glitter. Let dry.
Using hot glue, add the deer head to the tin and glue ribbon on the back.
For the third ornament, I just added a chipboard diecut. Super easy !!
Well that;s the end of the 12 Days of Quick & Easy Christmas Projects ... I hope you enjoyed them and maybe found some inspiration.
Happy holidays !!

DAY 11 !!
For Day 11, I decided to go for the gold !!
Here's the what & the how ... and a few adhesive tips !
And keep watching for Day 12, the last day of my Christmas projects.
Hope to see you tomorrow !
Here's the what & the how ... and a few adhesive tips !
Supplies ... gold papers, Tim Holtz rub ons, gold trims & ribbon, vellum, Stick It adhesive. |
This is the star of the show ... metallic rub ons. You get 2 sheets - one silver, one gold. The rub ons work beautifully and add a luxurious touch to your projects. |
For this card, I added the rub on directly to black card stock. I then cut a strip off the card edge and added foil inside so it would peek out the edge. Done ! |
Here I added the rub on onto white cardstock and used some beautiful gold starry paper. A strip of gold ribbon finished off the simple card. |
Such a beautiful vintage style sentiment. |
And keep watching for Day 12, the last day of my Christmas projects.
Hope to see you tomorrow !

Your Christmas gift is here ...
Hello !

DAY 10 !!
Day 10 ... a large beaded snowflake - perfect for hanging in the widow or on the tree top.
Here's what you need ... a package of 9" forms, beads (acrylic work best as they are the lightest), a sparkly centre piece, hot glue) .
I beaded 2 of the forms from the package, holding the beads in place with rubber earring backs. When I was finished, I removed the earring backs and glued the last bead on each wire with hot glue.
Then I glued one form on top of the other so the spokes were between the others. I glued on a sparkly cabochon in the centre and tied on a piece of silver thread for hanging. Done ! So easy ! Add in any colours of beads to match your decor .

DAY 9 !!
A wee little vintage tree ornament for Day 9. I was inspired by a Tim Holtz project and decided to make my own version. It's really cute in real life and was a lot of fun to make !
Here's what you need ... a trophy cup and tree (mine are from Tim Holtz Idea-ology), paint ( I used Cracked Pistachio Distress Paint) , beads, alcohol inks, glitter, star, glue, memo pin, paper banner/sticker, and any other decorations ( I added a bird).
Mine is not particularly Christmas-y as I wanted to use it year round but you can use whatever colour ornaments you like.
The first step is to "grunge" up the trophy. I dabbed on the paint and then dabbed Mushroom Alcohol Ink over it. Instant vintage !
Now the tree ... you can spray it with Distress Stain if you wish to add colour. I decided I liked the natural but wanted to glitter it. I dabbed on glue and the rolled it in vintage glitter. Then I used hot glue to fasten it into the trophy.
The beads ... I used white pearls and dyed them with various alcohol inks. I put a few beads in a little ziplock bag, squirted in a few drops of the ink, squished the pearls around, and then dumped them out on paper towels. I then dabbed the mushroom and silver alcohol inks over them to make them look even more vintage. You could easily use various coloured beads and skip this step. Now glue the beads to the tree. Glue the star to the top as well as the memo pin. Add any other decorations - I glued in a little bird.
Add a quote on a little paper strip to the memo pin . I also added a little Stickles along the edges of the banner. Done. You can add a cord to the loop on the memo pin to make it into a hanging ornament.
Imagine a pink tree, a pale blue tree, a green tree, a gold tree ... so many possibilities !
I've started Day 10 ... photos tomorrow !!

DAY 7 & 8 !!
Day 8 ... Gift Tags !!
I was inspired by a post on One Lucky Day and decided to make tags ... but simpler and speedier ... I'm on a time limit, lol.
So I grabbed some tags, Tea Dye Distress ink, red & green Archival ink, black Staon ink, some Tim Holtz stamps, twine, and a few Stickles.
I inked up the tags with the distress ink to make them look aged, stamped an image in a colour, then added the sentiment in black in. Then I added a touch of Stickles for some sparkle and looped twine through the tags. Done !
And I just realized that I forgot to post DAY 7 ! It was a MINC-ed village. It took a bit longer than an hour to foil all the pieces but the assembly was fairly quick. I like it !

DAY 6
Day 6 ... and I MINC-ed !!
I broke out some of the new Heidi Swapp Christmas Minc products and ran them through the Minc. Remember, you can also use a laminator too. It takes almost no time to Minc and the results are so pretty !
Here's a better view of the 2nd tag made with the negative of the first tag. Very pretty !!
I also minc-ed the pieces for a village ... brought them home to assemble it tonight ... and forgot the main pieces ... mad at myself ... guess it will have to wait for tomorrow.
So watch for that tomorrow and Day 7.

DAY 4 !
Today I made a couple very quick and simple Christmas cards using a beautiful die from Memory Box, The Corby Ornament.
For these cards you need : the die, cardstock, a sheet of 2 sided adhesive, and the outline stickers . I also used a bit of twine and a scrap of paper.
For this card , I cut the die out of green cardstock with the adhesive on the back. I then placed a scrap of red over the bird part of the die, and diecut that. I adhered them to the card but then wanted a little something to finish it off ... the outline stickers !!
For the second card, I cut the diecut out of white and used the "inner' pieces of the last one that was green. I cut the red bird the same way.
I adhered the white diecut, then just popped in all the green inner pieces from the last card. They went in very easily and surprisingly quickly ! I love how it fills it in !!
This is such a versatile die. You can cut it out of just one colour for a very elegant look, out of metallic paper for a sparkle, or out of 2 or 3 colours for a more vibrant look. Endless possibilities !
So ... that's Day 4 ! Keep watching for Day 5.

TWELVE Days of QUICK & EASY Christmas Projects !
Hello !
I've decided to take an hour each evening, look around the store, grab a few things, and make something for the holidays. I'm aiming for 12 days ... we'll see how that goes, lol.
I am hoping you may find some inspiration and see that it doesn't always take a lot of time !
DAY 1: the pillow boxes and canvas bags that I shared last week. Grab a stack of boxes and bags, a few stamps, a stencil, ink, and paper scraps . In an hour , you'll have a whole pile of Christmas packaging. Add some candy, hot chocolate packets, or a pair of warm gloves, and you'll have a lovely gift .
DAY 2 : Plaid tags ...
these go so well with the woodsy lumberjack kind of style we are seeing these days. But you could go for a totally different look with your choice of stamp. You will need a background stamp, ink, tags, and sentiment stickers. Stamp, add stickers, done. Easy peasy !!
DAY 3 : Holiday Home Decor
You will need a $3 photo collage frame from Walmart like this ...
... and some paper cut aparts with 4x6 pieces ( I used Simple Stories), some stickers (again Simple Stories chipboard stickers so they are nice and thick), and a floral pick with a bit of ribbon added.
So here's the first one ... I just cut the pieces apart and placed them in the frame. Then I added the chipboard stickers on the glass. Minutes, I tell you, mere minutes !
You can see here that I added 2 of the holly stickers, the foiled "Joy" sticker and a little tree in the bottom cubby. I attached it with a glue dot.
So now I need to start thinking about Day 4 .... hmmmm

This frame can stand on a shelf or a mantle or be hung on the wall.
For the next one, I did pretty much the same thing except I added a floral pick tied with a bit of ribbon. I glued it to the glass with Tacky Glue because my hot glue was at home, but either one would be perfect. I think if you used hot glue you could reheat it alter & remove the pick.
I also added another of the chipboard stickers over the ends of the pick. Again, the whole project just took a few minutes and cost very little.
So now I need to start thinking about Day 4 .... hmmmm
