Thursday September 2nd

******ALL MELISSA FRANCES PAPER 2/$1******
I will no longer be carrying Melissa Frances products so I am clearing them out to make room for other products ... so stock up now on paper at 2/$1 !!
This will be the last chance to get her rub-ons, diecuts,etc... Once they are gone ... well ... they are gone !

Well it is September ! And that usually means a return to "normal' schedules and making plans for new projects. We also start to think about Christmas - decorations & gifts - so I have been busy ordering so that I will have lots & lots of stock for all those plans !!

Some of it has rolled in and I expect quite a bit more in the next week or two.

BEADS : an order of chain has arrived ( hooray !) although they didn't have much in stock. But I do have the most frequently used styles now. YIPPEE !! With that chain I also received ball headpins, fancy headpins, shorter earring hooks, watch buckles, double strand watch faces, glass beads, silver foil lined beads, gold foil lined beads, bead caps, and metallic beads. I also have a bit of semi precious : labradorite chips, blue goldstone faceted beads (wow), and red flower agate faceted beads ( again wow) . There are also pendants : fluorite, synthetic moonstone, carnelian, and chocolate jasper. LOVELY !!!

PAPER : oh, some really nice new things. I have the new Tim Holtz Distress Stickles (6 new colours - brushed pewter, pine needles, tarnished brass, picket fence, black soot, and antique bronze) as well as the new Walnut Ink Spritzers in colours like lilac, willow, cherry blossom, and eucalyptus. Can't wait to try those !!


And then the rest of the box is mostly STAMPS !! Lots of little ones under $2.99 ... Hallowe'en, butterflies, hummingbirds, cupcakes (all the good things in life !!) as well as bigger sets for Christmas. Most of them are from Inkadinkado and they are lovely !! Perfect for making Christmas cards & tags !

And lastly, there were some Tim Holtz masks ( to use with those sprays), book covers from 7 Gypsies, Christmas flowers & leaves from Bazzill, and new seasonal "Just the Edge" paper strips from Bazzill. They are really cute - I have the Swiss Dot embossed edges in various colours as well as the Christmas & Hallowe'en paper strips. Great fun to add to projects !!

Thursday Update !! ( and even more new stuff ...)

Well, it's been a busy week here. My "lost" bead order finally arrived as well as 2 boxes of scrapbooking stuff. And notification that several more boxes are on their way for , hopefully, next week !!
So here's what's new :

BEADS : I am restocked on wire, headpins, earring posts & wires,magnetic clasps, Delica beads, etc... AND I have a whole bunch of new 4mm firepolished beads as well as more strands of vintage style beads. And then there are the semi precious ... beautiful tiger eye, African turquoise, and green opal in puffed square shapes. And in the rounds I have 6mm picture jasper ,6mm gorgeous turquoise (the mossy green with brown crackles), and various sizes and shapes of the blue turquoise. There are also some large dark green turquoise donuts and some BEAUTIFUL ovals of pressed turquoise. ( love those !!)
I am working on some really fun pendants but I have wandered off to too many other things and don't have them done . Next week I'll have photos !!

PAPER : loads of new Jenni Bowlin stuff - Hallowe'en Bingo cards, all sorts of chipboard buttons, alphabet stickers, note books, apothecary stickers, etc... ( I am a sucker for Jenni B Stuff !!)

Great new Bling It from Basic Grey ... ladybugs, owls, flowers, ... so pretty !! Adhesive rub ons and the sheets of glitter and flock that will stick to them. FLOCK ON !!

Abbey Road (My Mind's Eye) : tons of cute titles, transparencies, die cuts ... all under $1 each. I also have their new brads.
And also from My Mind's Eye ... great Christmas & Hallowe'en paper packs as well as all the accessories. I have Colourful Christmas, Days of Christmas, Boo to You, The Spiders, and Ooh LaLa. AND, I have a DEAL for you. If you buy the paper pack (9 sheets + accessories), brads, ribbon set,stickers, and glittered chipboard elements for "Colourful Christmas" or "Boo to You" it would cost over $31 but you can have the whole **SHEBANG** for $25. Yep, just 25 bucks !! Hurry though, they won't last too long !!

And here's a quick book I made with the Days of Christmas paper pack. This was sooo easy.

I usually over complicate things ... looking for all sorts of matching stuff ... and it takes me forever. Well, I decided to make a sample and use just what was in the pack with a bit of ribbon and the odd button. An hour later I was done. AN HOUR !! I used the "All on the 25th" tag and added the word "NOT".


I am going to use this to put pictures in of the days BEFORE Christmas that are just as, actually more, fun than the actual day. I didn't add tons of embellishments - I can do that after the photos are in. The book is from Bo Bunny and is 6" wide so you simply split all your paper, grab your glue stick, and start pasting !! FUN FUN FUN !! Great for you or to give as a gift to someone else - they can add their own photos & comments !!

New ... New ... New !!

Hi everybody !
I have some new stock this week. And I may be posting a project later this week too ... and hopefully new beads. Phew ! Busy week !!

How cute is this ??? This is a Maya Road album and what I think is the perfect go-with paper from Dream Street Papers. It is called Sam Seasons of Change and Sam Whoo-Hoo. The backs of the sheets are great woodgrain in a really nice brown or sage. BEE-YOO-TI-FUL .. Be-hoot-i-ful !! The stamps are new from Bo Bunny and the ribbon looks great with all the wonderful owl/tree stuff !! HOOT HOOT !!!
Now , new from Bo Bunny for Christmas ... you can start your Christmas cards even though it is oh, 1000 degrees outside !

This is St Nick... a nice traditional range of colours with some great graphics. Love the brads !!
The other line is Tis The Season and it is more in the pale pinks & blues.

And here is Kitchen Spice. I wasn't going to order any non-holiday paper and then I saw this one. It speaks to me. It is so homey, so comforting, so kitchen of my childhood ! ( I am afraid that it probably speaks to my inner child of the 70's !!) Anyway, it is wonderful and would be awesome for a recipe book or file. The diecuts are actually recipe cards !! Sweet !!

I'll post more in a few days !!
( My big problem now is that the paper rack for the holiday paper doesn't arrive until the weekend so ... you may have to ask where the paper is !!)

Here are a few card samples that I made this week. I really like the "Just the Edge" paper strips from Bazzill. This fall they will be releasing seasonal strips for Christmas & Hallowe'en. Cute !

I had a great few days at home - crafting up a storm !!
I finished the recipe holder. I have sold out of the stands but will have more in soon !


I also made a few cards using the Cosmo Cricket Early Bird paper ... so cheerful !!

And ... MY FAVOURITE !! ...

I made this little "Apple(s) of My Eye" book. It was so fun and the papers worked together so well. LOVE IT !!


I should have kits ready next week for the apple album if anyone is interested. $12.50 will get you the book, the papers, ribbon, and embellishments. It would be great to showcase pictures of the Annapolis Valley, an apple picking expedition, anything Fall, or the apple of YOUR eye !!
