Here's some info on new products ... you can leave your name for new items but all those of you who have prepaid for the items will be the first on the list when they arrive. Because suppliers are not bringing in much extra, if any, there is less chance for me to reorder. So if you really want a new product, the best bet is to prepay and get your name on the list. Don't miss out. smile emoticon
And I just want to remind people with items on hold that I only hold for 2 weeks. After that I put them back out for sale. You can EMT (email money transfer) if you can't get in . Just message me for a total .

PAPER, PAPER, PAPER !

Hello !!
Today it's all about paper ... Paper prices have been climbing ... up. lol. Between the weak Canadian dollar, regular price increases, and crazy shipping costs, paper prices have been rising every week. Each time I order, the prices have gone up. Each new collection has a bigger price tag on it. Ugh. I am now finding that some of the paper costs me as much as I charged selling it a few months ago.  I am also seeing a big discrepancy between companies ... the prices vary quite a bit . Add some foil or glitter and the paper costs more. I always charged the same price for all the papers & absorbed the difference but with all the increases I have had to raise my prices several times over the last few months as well as be very selective about which lines I bring in. So ... I am giving you a chance to stock up and me a chance to make room for some new papers so that I can put them out for sale.

And there are also deals on 12x12 cardstock !! I am not going to be carrying 12x12 cardstock by the sheet in the future. I will order packages for people - either 25 sheet packs of one colour or assorted packs - but I won't be carrying it by the individual sheet. I will however, continue to carry the 8.5 x11 paper by the sheet. I find I have a much greater percentage of card makers than I do scrapbookers, and even the scrapbookers I have are moving to smaller albums. But don't worry, if you need 12x12, just let me know and we can set up a special order !

Card kit ... Butterflies Galore !

Here is this week's card kit ... it is all about butterflies this week ! Butterfly papers, canvas resist butterflies, kraft butterflies, gold butterflies ... that's the theme !

You will get all the materials + instructions to make all 3 cards for just $6. All you need is adhesive, and in this case, ink. The canvas resist butterflies are uncoloured and you get to add whatever colour you wish, making the resist pattern appear as you add the colour. The kit includes the card bases (precut, scored, and folded), precut papers, sentiment stickers in black and gold, ribbon, gold twine, journal cards, tag, foil butterfly, resist butterflies, and the kraft butterflies.

*To colour my butterflies I used a few different methods ...

If you look carefully, you can see a faint pattern on the butterflies - that's the resist !
The ink will not soak in to those areas. 

I used Distress ink and a sponge applicator to do the two pieces shown here.
For the butterflies on the card, I used Dylusions Spray Ink.
Either ink pad or spray works well .

Here's how it would work ...

Make some of your beautiful handmade cards (up to 3).

Bring them in to the store on or before March 4th .

Receive an equal number back ! (after the deadline)

Simple !!

GUIDELINES : 

* A2 cards ... that's the standard 4.25 x 5.5 inch size.
(next time they may be different !)

* cards must include an envelope and be packaged in a clear bag.

* you can include your name - or not - whichever you prefer. 

* the cards should be able to fit through the "slot of death" at the post office. lol

* deadline is March 4th.

* you can participate if you live away too !
