I Tried ... and I Liked !!I

Hi everyone !
Today I tried new products and made samples ... want to see ?

First, I have this new paper in stock ...

Great for making cards for Mom or layouts. Also perfect for pocket scrap booking ! But I had another idea ...
I cut the pieces apart ...
4x6 journaling card
Then I added a cute little frame that I have in stock ($1.99)

And Voila !! A cute decoration or gift !!
And you can easily change the little card inside ... there are several more on that sheet as well as many other sheets with cut aparts. And both sides of the frame are open so you can put in 2 cards, back to back. Change it for each holiday or every week !!!

These 2 are the same card - just the reverse !
Now ... these Heidi Swapp Mini Stencils ... love them !!!
There are 6 stencils and 6 pieces of plain cardstock in each mini folder. That way you can make something right away !! There are four different themed packages ...
PATTERNS

FRAMES

WORDS

SHAPES
So I thought I better try them out too ...
I used them with various products -
*I used spray mists & paints. That was okay but I felt like I didn't have enough control. And maybe that's just me !! lol
* I used my new RANGER INKING TOOL with distress inks and loved that ! More control and great coverage. And the new tool is fabulous ! It is smaller so it fits very nicely in my hand - perfectly, actually. And the round foam means no edge lines. Again, perfect.
* I added doodling with my favourite white Signo pen and a black Sharpie pen. Lots of fun !!
Then I broke out the new Distress Marker Spritzer from Ranger. It is amazing !! I never thought I would get such great coverage. All you do is put a marker in the holder and then squeeze air over the tip. Low tech. Sounds kind of crazy and ineffective but it is GREAT !!!
this is using the distress markers - worked really well !

Then I tired the Sharpies ... also excellent !

Also with Sharpies !

I now had all these little stencils ... time to make something with them. I decided on cards ...

Another new product ... 3D Foam Shapes by Scrapbook Adhesives.
They come in a variety of designs. I chose stars.
They are sticky on both sides, so you adhere them to your project and then add glitter or flocking to the top.
I used Distress Glitter which is actually supposed to be used with liquid adhesive for maximum sparkle,
but I mainly just liked the colours. I glittered them in a coffee filter because you can contain the glitter
and easily pour the excess back into the jar.

There are 2 sheets of stars in the package, 2 different thicknesses, and 48 pcs total for $3.75.

For the pink card I used a misted stencil and added a few Tim Holtz rub ons and some ribbon. Easy !
Now on to the new stamp from Taylored Expressions ...
I stamped it, coloured it with my Distress Markers and a waterbrush, and then made a card.
Now, here's a hint ... I'm not a great colourer & I don't like to take my time ... so there were a few "out of the line" spots.
I simply coloured over them with my whiter Signo pen. Gone !
I love this stamp because it can be any colour combination that I want !
And then lastly, I tried some of the new die-namics dies.
This daisy is really pretty.
I added a little yellow chalk in the centres of the flowers but it doesn't show well in the photo.
I wanted the card to be quite simple.

Then I cut out the little pitcher , again in white. For some reason, I really like just the plain white silhouette.
After I finished the card, I realized that I ALWAYS use whiter paper so I thought I better try something else. LOL.
I wanted a casual country style card, so I cut it out of a red floral print and I quite liked that too !
So that was my day of experimenting ... and now I have 100 x more ideas ! Stop in to see the samples & products !
